North County Transfer Station - Clean Green Drop Off

The North County Transfer Station is one of Spokane County’s disposal sites. These sites provide clean and convenient, one-stop drops for yard waste, food waste, and trash.  The Transfer station also has a drop off area for recyclables and household hazardous waste (HHW). Click on the links above to find out what is accepted for recycling and HHW. Locations are open to all Spokane County residents. 

North and Valley Transfer Station Hours of Operation:
7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday – Sunday

Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) collection is only available on Saturdays and Sundays.

All facilities are closed on the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas.

Secure Your Load: Loads being delivered to disposal sites must be covered with a tarp or secured with a rope or other means to prevent spillage.

Recyclables
– Free
Household Hazardous Waste Disposal – Free

Accepted items:

  • Bark, weeds, twigs, pine needles, pine cones
  • Food and food-soiled paper, pizza boxes
  • Grass clippings
  • Leaves
  • Limbs less than 6 feet long and 3 inches in diameter
  • Sod less than 3 inches thick (shake off all rocks and extra soil)

  • NO animal feces, rocks, dirt, or garbage
