EnviroCertified is a voluntary program that recognizes Spokane County businesses that have practices and policies in place to properly manage dangerous waste and conserve resources. A unique partnership between agencies and non-profits provides participants with public recognition and advertising.

CERTIFICATION PROCESS

To be eligible, you must operate a business in a category that typically generates dangerous waste, be located in Spokane County, and agree to participate in a periodic renewal process.

Contact SRHD to schedule a Pollution Prevention Assistance email pollutionprevention@srhd.org or call 509-324-1560 ext.3. A SRHD Pollution Prevention Assistance representative will verify that you meet certification standards, recommend improvements, provide technical assistance, and connect you to available resources.

Once your business completes the Pollution Prevention Assistance recommendations, it is eligible for EnviroCertified recognition. The application helps you to identify what you are doing, and what you can do, to manage waste and incorporate best practices.

When your application is received and approved, we’ ll schedule a certification visit to deliver your certificate and promotional materials.
